Alicia Laurin brings several years of veterinary experience and a gentle approach to animal care to her role with our team. She earned her Veterinary Assistant diploma from Ashworth College in 2021 after years of volunteering with animal shelters, clinics, and fundraising events.
After working in small animal practice, Alicia joined Willow Grove, an animal wellness and integrative medicine facility. Her time there sparked a particular interest in working with sensitive and fearful animals. She became Fear Free certified in 2023 and later completed a Canine Hydrotherapy certification with honours in 2024, supporting dogs through recovery and helping them build confidence in the water.
Alicia is now excited to grow her experience in urgent care veterinary medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys learning more about canine behaviour alongside her Border Collie, Jasper, and spending time with her rescue cat, Rolo.
